Planning & Engineering Division

The Planning & Engineering Division provides long-term project planning and engineering design and construction services. All engineering projects from initial design through the final phases of construction are overseen by division staff. The division is composed of three sections:

Planning

This group manages the Arid West Water Quality Research Project (AWWQRP is a grant-funded program to research water quality criteria for arid and semi-arid environments), environmental planning, and Long-Range Capital Planning.

Engineering

This group oversees Capital Improvement Project Implementation, Conveyance Design, Treatment Design, Construction, and Field Engineering.

Capacity Management

This group manages Ordinance Compliance, Planning and Development Liaison, Utility Plan Review, and Customer Service (Maps & Records and Bluestake).

Geographic Information Systems

The GIS group manages mapping and mapping database activities for the department and public.
